Where Is The Local News?

I woke up the yesterday with national news on our television covering the damaging hurricane Irene that travels in the path from the south all the way to the north path of the east coast, from Bahamas to South Carolina and all the way pass New York City the following day or today. They cover the path of the hurricane extensively from state to state. In a glimpse of few seconds, a fire in Yosemite caused by an explosion of a mobile home profane tank caused a 3,000 acres in the Yosemite area, and that caught my attention because we are currently here in northern California, just few hours travel to Yosemite. I decided to tune in further to the national news channel in case they give more details about the Yosemite fire, but majority of the news they talked about is the hurricane in the east coast.

We decided to head to a local news channel to see if they cover more about the Yosemite fire that is currently going on since its a local news so we assume that they cover more local happenings, more than they cover other state news. To our dismay, the local news are fixated talking about hurricane Irene as well, which is on the opposite side of the United States. Having a 3,000 acres fire near one of the most popular national park in the world is a huge news and need to be concern about. Unfortunately, its hard to even learn more about it in the local news channels, when they prefer to cover more on the hurricane Irene. We do specifically watch the news two days in a row to specifically know about what is going in with hurricane Irene, but knowing that there is a big fire in northern CA that came up, its good if the local news will cover that news too, so local people will be informed, be safe, and know what is going on in their own backyard. 

More Closet Room For The Shoes

I noticed that most home closets that came with old houses dont really have room for shoes. And if there is, most shoes ended up in the bottom part of the closet, or the only space for shoes is the little portion of floor space below the closet hanging area. For most of us, this space allocated for shoes is just not enough especially if both husband and wife have to share the same little space for all their shoes.

Me alone owns more than ten pairs of shoes not because I am a shoe collector but because I have shoes for different occassions. I have rubber shoes, sneakers, boots, slippers, sandals, and more, and all of these need a proper space in the closet.  And i would like to add more shoes to my already mounting numbers of variety of shoes especially if there are other styles or colors that I like. While browsing at Zappos website, I know there are easily two to three pairs in their online store that I would like to have especially their boots collections!

We recently renovated our bedroom, so we have a closet that is currently a blank canvas. When we finally decide the shelvings that we will add into it, I will definitely have shelvings for shoes and not settle for the floor space alone.

Getting Ready For Thanksgiving

We went to the grocery store yesterday and bought all the necessary ingredients for our Thanksgiving Dinner. We bought a 25 pound turkey, stuffing, gravy sauce mixture, jellied cranberry sauce, a pie of pumpkin pie, among other things. Im sure its going be a nice family dinner with all the great foods to savor upon and I cant wait. We didnt have any turkey last year because our kitchen was under renovation and thats why having one this year is even more exciting for us. I hope everyone will have a nice Thanksgiving celebration, keep on loving, always be thankful for all the blessings that you receive. Count your blessings, its a very powerful thing! Hilarious Movie

One of my favorite all-around favorite star is Jennifer Lopez. Whats not to like? She is super-talented, multi-talented, she can dance, sing, act, and run a business! Ive seen most of her movies especially the feel-good ones like The Wedding Planner, Maid In Manhattan, and Monster-In-Law. Im not a huge fun of suspense and scary movies but I managed to watched some of hers even.

Last night, we watched one of her latest movie, The Back-Up Plan, in blu-ray at home. Its hard to contained myself, the movie is hilarous! There were too many laughing moments in that movies that are extremely funny. And guess who else was in the movie? The famous Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan, is in the movie. We are familiar with him because we often watch his dog show on tv.

So if you are looking for a great laugh, a wholesome movie to watch, I highly recommend this movie. Infact, its definitely one of those movie that I can watch again soon and get a good laugh.
